In this post we will learn about simple steps to remove the history or recent items which are shown in Dash Home in Ubuntu.The practical has been done in Ubuntu 12.10 and applicable to other Ubuntu which has Dash home.

To remove the history from Dash ,follow the given below steps:

Step 1: In Dash Home type System Settings and click on System Settings icon. The System Settings panel will be opened.

Step 2: Now click on Privacy. The Privacy panel will appear. Now click on Recent Items tab

Step 3: Now in Recent Items at right hand side top corner there is a drop down button.Click on it and select All (Select the option as per your requirement)

Step 4: Now a small window will come and with question asking “The operation can not be undone,are you sure you want to delete this activity?”, click on Yes button

Now open the dash home and check all the recent items has been cleared.
