How to install Maxthon’s cloud browser on Ubuntu

In this section we will learn how to install Maxthon’s cloud browser on Ubuntu system.

Step 1 : Visit the Maxthon official website (http://www.maxthon.com/)

Step 2: Download and install Maxthon’s cloud browser.
To find ubuntu O.S architecture installed on your system use below given command –

arch

Select the deb package as per your Operating system architecture.
Using command line to download the package.

For 32 bit Ubuntu O.S : Here we quickly download and install the package the 32 bit Maxthon’s cloud browser package.

curl -O http://dl.maxthon.com/linux/deb/packages/i386/maxthon-browser-stable_1.0.5.3_i386.deb

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-pixbuf libgtkhotkey1
sudo dpkg -i maxthon-browser-stable_1.0.5.3_i386.deb

For 64 bit Ubuntu O.S :

curl -O http://dl.maxthon.com/linux/deb/packages/amd64/maxthon-browser-stable_1.0.5.3_amd64.deb

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-pixbuf libgtkhotkey1
sudo dpkg -i maxthon-browser-stable_1.0.5.3_amd64.deb

Step 3 : Now open the Maxthon’s cloud browser from dash home.

Step 4 : To use Maxthon’s passort feature to sync favorites,quick access, magic fills etc. singup to Maxthon’s account . You can signup from below given link –
http://my.maxthon.com/register.html

After completing form fill up for signup and verification . You can sync the favorites,quick access, magic fills after login into account and use it on other devices where Maxthon’s cloud browser is installed.
