In this post I am sharing about how to install Fluxbox in Ubuntu.Fluxbox is a lightweight Stacking Window Manager for X Window System.It is based on Blackbox 0.61.1 code.The Fluxbox is lightweight and fast,consume very less system resources.

- Right-clicking on the desktop gives a root menu
- Customizable root menu
- Support for wallpaper
- Running applications appear in a taskbar

To install Fluxbox in Ubuntu,follow the given below steps
Step 1: Open the terminal and write the below given command
sudo apt-get -y install fluxbox
Step 2: After installation get completed, logout now.
Step 3: Now you are at login screen.At the time of login,select Fluxbox option after clicking on Ubuntu icon( Which is available at the top right corner of User Login Box for changing Desktop Environment type).
After login you will see,fluxbox . Do right click on Desktop,you can see Menu.And there is a taskbar at bottom to place minimized application.
